Get to know us a bit better.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Eugene Van Jaarsveldt and Kathy Morrison set up EVJ & Associates in 2015, in response to the need to ensure the practical implementation of strategic issues arising in employee relations.

 

In the beginning, we conducted independent investigations, referred to us by solicitors. These investigations covered both grievances and discipline and ranged from simple performance management issues to more complex fraud and bribery allegations.

Today, in addition to partnering with solicitors, we work with small and large businesses to help them run more cost-effectively, improve employee relations and train line managers to better deal with people.

​

We take pride in our core values which include independence and impartiality, with an empathetic approach, strong communication skills, combined with proficient business acumen.

Eugene Van Jaarsveldt

Eugene is an executive Human Resource professional with over 20 years' board level experience. He has unique specialist skills in human resource strategy, employee relations/transformation and organisational change.

 

His experience spans across industries, including automotive, engineering, shipbuilding, food manufacturing, and luxury yacht building.

 

As a trained mediator and arbitrator with his 'Boiling the Frog'™ model of change, he has assisted companies to transform their principles and processes to align with value-adding activities. 

 

Eugene led a unique partnership approach with seven trade unions that was recognised as the model for change within the UK in a leading food manufacturing environment.

Kathy
Morrison

With over 30 years experience in nursing and Human Resources, Kathy is uniquely qualified to support grievance and disciplinary investigations where issues such as mental health, disabilities and workplace bullying and harassment are central themes.

 

Her nursing background and industry experience create the perfect link between understanding business and Occupational Health recommendations.

 

Her empathetic nature places applicants at ease during investigation processes and ensures a collaborative process is followed.

OUR AIMS

Our vision is to be the leading independent service provider in the UK in the area of employee relations and Human Resource Metrics, recognised through our skill, experience and commitment by ensuring capability is transferred to the client.

Our mission is to ensure we transfer skill and process capability to both Line Management and the Human Resource team.
